Finally tried this place and was highly impressed. The lady who took my order was so helpful and friendly. I tried the wings (not spicy) and the pork buns. By far the best wings and pork bun I’ve ever eaten. The wings were meaty with crispy skin and a sweet sticky deliciousness, I couldn’t stop eating them. The pork buns were also perfection. My husband said he’s never seen me eat so much. Will be back a lot!!!!

Absolutely loved our experience and the food was so good. The crunch was amazing and the flavor was phenomenal. We had never had korean fried chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The Cashier was very friendly and asked of we needed help as we had never been in before. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I got the strips with 1/2 spicy and 1/2 soy garlic. The loaded fries were also so so good and crispy. Both flavors were fantastic. Really enjoyed it and will be back.

What is really trending in the Des Moines Area are a spattering of new and creative Korean Fast Food Restaurants. What’s Dak Diner is in a popular strip mall surrounded by a plethora of other eateries with this being a choice destination. The Korean Bar B Que wings have an American customer friendly twist that are fresh, crisp and fantastically delicious. Service is quick. The entree is served-have it your way- mild or spicy. The Pork, Shrimp or Chicken Pot Stickers are delicious. Seating has room for up to thirty with very reasonable prices $$. Extremely friendly staff in an easy accessible area. Give this small business a try.

Nice and clean, nice quiet environment for the most part, but we had to go orders. I love the fact this place does half and half flavors on chicken, and they have completely all drumsticks or wings in size small, medium, or large. The size I chose was a small, the flavor I picked for my drumsticks are soy and garlic and got seasoned fries........ which by the way tasted like over cooked sour cream and onion chips without salt. My fiancé chose half and half, half spicy and half soy and garlic and 4 beef balgolgi buns. He said it was okay......... and give it a 9 for the chicken though, but the buns were just alright.......... I definitely give the chicken a 9 as well and fries a 2 star so 4 star from both of us. I love the fact this place in a Great location where u can shop, eat more or buy alcohol at the brewery, or buy from the alcohol and tobacco shop. It's lots of places to go to and also is close to the fresh gas station across the way. :-) Would we come here again?? you betcha we will and next time we'll order for indoor and get more of a better full experience.

The chicken wings here are incredible, the crispy exterior with the savory soy garlic or delicious spicy sauces cannot be passed up. If you like a little heat, go for the spicy sauce, it's very manageable! The pickled radish is great for cooling off. The drumstick combo comes with regular sized drumsticks with your standard flats and drummies, just so you are aware and don't get surprised! Lots of other options, japchae, tteokbokki, Korean corn dogs, all that can be made to your liking, served up in a clean, modern, fast-dining environment. Love having a small taste of Korea in central Iowa!

What Dak has a cozy feel when you walk in. Staffs were friendly and greeted us. We ordered at the register and it was quite easy. Korean taco was good, but it wasn’t my flavor. The octopus balls were good and had a creamy texture. Fried chicken wings were nice and crispy. I preferred the hot wings over the garlic soy, but both were amazing. Japchae was decently good. Give this place a try if you haven’t.

This place came highly recommended to us. Sunday was going to be a lazy Sunday so we were definitely looking for a good place to get some delicious take out. Yes, this place is great. Kind of did a sample order, tried to get one of each thing on the menu. There were so many choices, so we picked the ones that "called" out to us. We absolutely needed to try the pork buns.. those were probably our favorite dish on the menu. A close second were the Dak loaded fries. So delicious with a good bite! The regular fries are nice and crunchy with some sort of coating. Fried rice was good. They are generous with the added chicken. For me, tho, the fried rice is too heavy on the sesame oil. We also ordered the Korean chicken strips and fried chicken with coleslaw and did half and half of Soy garlic and Spicy flavors. Spicy is spicy! The coleslaw is probably some of the best I've had. It's so creamy and flavorful, just wish the side was a bit larger of a serving. Atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and fast.
